Before delving into the psychedelic trance scene, in around 2010, Neill played many other styles of trance music on vinyl. He started Djing in 2005 and by 2009, he transitioned to exclusively playing psychedelic trance on CDs at mainly mixed music events. Residencies with brands such as Retox at The Gallery at Ministry of Sound and the legendary Planet Angel propelled Neill to play psytrance at venues like Electric, Coliseum, Scala, Hidden, Camden Palace (Koko), SE1, Electrowerkz, Fire, Mass, Lightbox, Protocol, Shepherds Bush empire and many others across London.
After discovering the London underground psychedelic trance scene, Neill quickly became a regular fixture, performing relentlessly at underground warehouse events, forest gatherings, open-air spaces, and various venues across London and beyond. His performances included events like Tribal Village, Halycon, Elixir of Life, and Illuminaiughty, among others. Over time, Neill established residencies at events such as Psymera, Psyrhythmix, Shattered Barriers, Altered States, and even launched his own event, Inertia.”
While serving as a resident DJ at Planet Angel, Neill’s proficiency as both a producer and DJ underwent significant growth. Surrounded by fellow talented artists, he was motivated to enhance his mixing abilities, striving to ensure that his sets were captivating and cohesive. Embracing spontaneity, Neill eschewed rigidly planned performances, preferring to adapt dynamically to the atmosphere and energy of the crowd, thereby upholding the cherished tradition of traditional DJing.
On the production front Neill was very fortunate to have been taken under the wing of a profoundly talented genius engineer whose abilities were second to none, giving Neill insight into advanced techniques that extended beyond conventional approaches as well as exploiting useful concepts in wave physics. Yet his formal university education around the time was geared around psychology and neuroscience and its intertwined effects from music on concepts such as memory and neuroplasticity

Beyond his work in music production and performance, Neill has dedicated an immeasurable amount of time to synthesis and sound design. This remains his favourite subject to teach in one-on-one lessons. Crafting thousands of patches across dozens of synthesizers over the years has not only refined his approach to mixdown but has also created a unique flavour in his music that seems to be noticeable to fans and listeners.
As well as producing psychedelic trance Neill has explored various other music styles, while remaining true to his core tastes. Breaks, Dubstep, House, Techno, Trance, Ambient and many more. Neill has worked on diverse projects from crafting short pieces of music for film scores to producing dance remixes of rock music for Mixmag Magazine, where he worked as producer for a short period of time.
Currently, Neill has been focusing hard on his NEO live performance project that aims to elevate the creative bar to new heights and he has already had the privilege to showcase his live act in countries like Hungary, Lithuania, Holland, Turkey, Switzerland, Mexico to name a few, as well as big festivals in his home country of England such as Boomtown Fair and Noisily.
Stay tuned for exciting upcoming projects, including a new record label and podcast currently in the works along with interesting plans that incorporate his work as a trained and professional painter and visual artist into his musical work.
